My Favorite Things – Day 3

Annual-5-Days-of-Homeschool-Not-Back-to-School-Blog-Hop-2019-

This is my third post for the Not Back to School Blog for the Home School Review Crew.  I am talking about my favorite things.  Today I want to talk about is two of the activities our children have had a chance to participate in (either alone or with us).

This summer as part of our areas’ band and strings program, our youngest son participated in a percussion class and also received piano lessons.

Our youngest son also participated in the Home School tennis program last year and will be participating again this year.  Or at least, he will be participating for as long as we are here.

Finally, our youngest son, our oldest son, my husband and I were able to participate in our area’s Community Band.  Some members of our homeschooling community came to several of the concerts to see us perform.

As part of the Home School Band program, we also participated in our community’s Christmas parade.  Rather than trying to teach everyone how to march in a short period of time, we elected to ride on a float and play.

So what kind of activities are your family’s favorite activities to participate in during the school year?

I am a wife and homeschooling mother of 4. I am a Christian who firmly believes that Jesus Christ died for my sins. We are a military family who just relocated from Pennsylvania to Texas. I enjoy Bible journaling, reading, crocheting, scrapbooking and quilting. I am beginning to attempt art journaling.
